Janet Chu is an actress, film and fashion producer born in Burbank, California. During childhood, she was fascinated by her family’s video camcorder and she would shoot remakes of Terminator 2 and numerous Walt Disney’s animation with her friends. During this playtime, she discovered her interest in acting and filmmaking.

Since 2003, Janet has been involved with various aspects of film production from gained experience on-set.  Soon after, she started to produce and star in her own short films, which gained access to numerous film festivals.

Aside from acting, Janet trains in Wushu (martial arts) with James Ibrao, Grand Master of Chinese Martial Arts Association in both unarmed Wushu and Wushu weapon techniques.

Presently, in between acting roles, she produces, casts, and directs independent films in Los Angeles.
